The Bald Eagle Art League is happy to present the 65th annual Way’s Garden Art Show, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Check out the artists, take a seat in the sun or recline on the lawn in the shade.

The Repasz Band, founded in Williamsport in 1831, and the Shoo-Fly band each will perform.

Mayor Derek Slaughter will announce the coveted People’s Choice Award, formally known as the Eve Archer Award, at 3 p.m. Everyone attending the Art Exhibit will be given a ballot with the event program to cast a vote for their favorite artist.

This year, the runner-up will be recognized with a second-place award prior to announcing the Eve Archer Award recipient.

Returning guests will enjoy seeing their favorite artists and discovering new ones. All art work to be presented is original, created and crafted by the exhibiting artists. The art is as various as the artists themselves: canvas paintings including pastels, acrylics and watercolors, pottery, woodcrafts, jewelry, decorative pots and plants, wildlife photography and handpainted decorative stones, to name a few.

The Way’s Garden Art Show brings the community and its artists together.

During the art show, Trinity Episcopal Church, across Fourth Street, will host its annual Strawberry Festival, offering barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, baked beans, cold drinks and strawberry shortcakes with ice cream. Tours of the church are also offered.

The Backhouse Café, across Maynard Street, is available for tea, coffee and baked goods with outdoor seating available.

In addition, The Taber Museum, is making special exhibits available to the public while having its annual YesterShoppe indoor yard sale.

A portion of Fourth Avenue will be blocked off from vehicular traffic, allowing safe pedestrian passage between these events.

Please note Way’s Garden provides accessibility to the garden and bathroom facilities.

This Way’s Garden event is free and open to the public.
